Lunch Bunch is offered from 12:00-2:00. Your child can still participate in the other extended day activities such as Piano, Spanish, Soccer Shots or Little Scholars. Children have a free play time from 12:00-12:30 or participate in one of the after-school enrichments. At 12:30, children prepare for lunch by washing hands, then gather together to share in a lunch bunch with other students until 1pm. From 1:00pm-1:30pm, students will then participate in a Reveille teacher led activity-Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays will focus on creative movement, art or building activities. By 1:30pm, students are then given an opportunity for free play time on the playground until 2:00 at which time, parents can pick up.
Piano is offered to children ages 4 and 5 from 12:00-12:30 on Wednesdays. Mrs. Katie Humphreys & Mrs. Mary Walker lead this program. This class will build strong listening skills and piano foundation for musicality. It will also enhance skills in other areas of early development.You will have an opportunity to register during Open House.
Spanish will be offered to children ages 4 and 5 from 12:00-12:30 on Wednesdays. One of our own Reveille parents, Mrs. Jenny Georgerian, leads this program. Jenny has a Masters of Education in Linguistics and Bilingual Education. She's had experience working with children ages JK-8 grade. Children will gain basic Spanish skills all while learning in a fun and creative environment. You will have an opportunity to register during Open House.
Soccer Shots is a professionally designed program for young children led by trained soccer instructors. Evan Harding has been involved in youth coaching for many years and has been a member of the Richmond Kickers. During each 30 minute session, instructors will creatively introduce children to the sport of soccer while developing physical skills and character. We will offer soccer on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12:00 to 12:30 in the fall, winter and spring. You will have an opportunity to register for Soccer Shots during Open House or online at soccershots.org.
Little Scholars is committed to providing individually tailored enrichment programs that promote early educational development, build confidence and make learning fun. Stephanie Jefferson, M.Ed is the founder of this program. Little Scholars will be offered to children ages 3-5 on Thursdays from 12:00-1:00. In the fall you can sign your child up for Science Exploratorium, in the winter Number Crunchers and in the spring we will offer a special class for rising Kindergarteners ages 5-6, called Ready, Set, Go to Kindergarten! Registration is handled online through Little Scholars. A registration flyer will be available at open house with links to online registration.
