After School Enrichment Options

Reveille Weekday School is happy to provide a variety of after school enrichment activities for children to continue to learn and explore after the traditional school day is over.  These activities are offered to children in our preschool program who are potty trained.

Lunch Bunch will be offered to children in the preschool (typically ages 3-5) who are fully toilet trained from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm, Mondays-Fridays. Your child can still sign up for special activities like Soccer Shots, Itty Bitty Yogis, Piano, etc. from 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm (See options below).  Students will join the Lunch Bunch group after their special activity ends.  Depending on enrollment, the Lunch Bunch students may be divided into two classes by age.  The lunch bunch activities for the younger students will focus on positive social interactions and learning age-appropriate social skills, while the activities for the older students will focus on lessons in the areas of physical development, literacy, math, science, and social skill development. Parents will pick up their children no later than 2:00 pm from the playground.

Information regarding registration for the fall session will be sent out in the school summer mailing.  Registration for the winter sessions will begin after Thanksgiving, and spring sessions will begin during the second semester.

    Special Activities Options

    Special Enrichment activities are offered from 12:00-12:30 pm Monday-Friday.  Children will be picked up from the special activity at 12:30 pm or, if they participate in Lunch Bunch, they will not be picked up until 2:00 pm.

    Soccer Shots is a professionally designed program for young children led by trained soccer instructors. During each session, instructors will creatively introduce children to soccer while developing physical skills and character.     Itty Bitty Yogis

    Itty Bitty Yogis, a yoga enrichment program designed for children ages 3-5, balances bodies and brains as children discover yoga through games, stories, and poses. This is not your typical yoga class! We will run, jump, and downward dog before we end each session with stretching and a mindfulness exercise. Itty Bitty Yogis was created by former Reveille teacher, Katie Cooke & a former Reveille parent, Connie Mattox. Register online at https://www.ittybittyyogis.com.

    Piano

    In Miss Mary’s Preschool Piano we will explore the basics of piano in a fun, child-friendly way.  We learn about rhythm, counting, patterns, notation, and fingering.  Each child will have the use of a keyboard and headphones while they play.  We will also learn to play some short songs and introduce the basic concept of reading music.   Piano is an 8-week class and the number of students is limited to 6.     Dance

    The Dance Candle Academy of Performing and Sacred Arts is joining Reveille Weekday School to offer a Creative Movement program for 3-5 year olds. Our Creative Movement Class works with students to develop and refine motor skills and coordination while introducing basic technique, skill, artistry, and worship through movement.  Every class starts with a small devotion and prayer and then moves into high energy movement and a flowing stretch.  Students then begin to learn foundational technical ballet vocabulary that allows them to begin to piece together simple elements of choreography and directional cues.  For more information, please contact Karen Rios at thedancecandle@gmail.com

    Stride & Shine

    STRIDE and SHINE Kids Run Club is an enrichment program for all fitness levels. Traditional running games and drills are transformed into powerful life lessons.  Eight core empowerment principles (Powerful words, Positive thoughts, Aggressive Goals) are used to build confidence and resilience.  Each week will focus on an empowerment principle and its associated running skill (coordination, pacing, speed).  When you are with the run club you are getting a great workout AND building strength of character.     Fine Motor Fun

     ‘Fine Motor Fun’ will include 8 weeks of therapeutic activities directed by a doctor
    of occupational therapy targeting evidence-based, age-appropriate fine motor skills to promote strengthening, coordination, manipulation, and precision. Students enrolled in this enrichment program will be provided with a ‘fine motor kit’ that will be accessed throughout the course and taken home at the course’s conclusion to promote continued fine motor skills.     Woodworking for Preschoolers

    Woodworking for Preschoolers Teresa teaches kids the basics of woodworking.
    During the program, children will learn about  basic woodworking concepts, trees, wood (real world connections), sanding, hammering, nails, screws, measuring, sawing, and safety.

    Sportz4Life Tennis

    Sportz4Life Tennis will be offered to children ages 3-5. Learn all the strokes of tennis including volleys, forehands, backhands, and how to serve. Play interactive games and fun, creative contests. All the equipment is kid-friendly, and coaches keep the kids fully engaged throughout the classes.     Creative Movement and Sensory Play

     “Creative Movement and Sensory Play” will utilize a fun, interactive, sensory-motor curriculum hosted by a doctor of occupational therapy. During the program, students will participate in creative activities incorporating our senses (visual, tactile, auditory, proprioceptive and vestibular). Each week will include themed activities to include, but not
    limited to, gross motor movement and games (proprioceptive and vestibular sensory input), story or book readings (auditory and visual sensory input), and craft completion (tactile sensory input) for a full sensory-motor experience.  For registration information, please email:  firstpriorityot@gmail.com for more information.

    Sportz4Life Golf

    Sportz4Life Golf will be offered to children ages 3-5. Kids will chip, pitch, putt, and drive their way through these amazingly fun classes. Kid-friendly clubs and balls will allow each kid to enjoy the fun sport of golf while playing cool games and contests each class. The coaches will enhance each class with engaging activity and the basic fundamentals of the lifetime sport of golf. Golf will be something the kids really look forward to each week.     Building Lasting Friendships

    “Building Lasting Friendships” is designed to increase awareness and understanding of social and emotional health to increase confidence, foster independence, and
    build friendships. This enrichment program will incorporate concepts pertaining to

    Little Steamers

    Little Steamers program will be offered to children ages 3-5. Little Steamers will give your child the opportunity to explore STEAM through play. Using simple tools and simple questions, students will solve problems and design solutions.
