Our Facilities

The Weekday School is fortunate to share the grounds of Reveille United Methodist Church to include the church offices in the “Reveille House.”  Reveille House is the second-oldest house in Richmond, believed to be built as early as 1720.  Our facilities are designed to help children develop physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally as they explore the world around them.  In addition to large classrooms, the school has a dedicated children’s library where preschool students can check out a book each week, a music room, an indoor gymnasium space to foster movement and physical challenges, a Fellowship Hall for special activities and community events, and several gardens including a children’s garden, planted and maintained by the children.  There are three different developmentally appropriate playground areas with physical, sensory, and social play options.  A flex play space, affectionately called “Room 200,” provides a large space with various areas that change regularly to support the current student interests and learning through the curriculum.  The Room 200 kitchen provides opportunities for older students to participate in cooking projects.
