Our Staff

One of the things that set Reveille Weekday School apart is our exceptionally talented and long-tenured teaching staff.  Our wonderful teachers possess a unique spirit of warmth, passion, and professionalism. They work in teams to plan innovative and exciting programs.  Classroom activities and events are documented, and teachers communicate directly with each family.  Weekday School teachers regularly continue their education through teacher training workshops, seminars, and conferences. 

Catherine Hailes

Catherine Hailes

Catherine Hailes is the lead teacher for the Lady Bugs, a Tuesday / Thursday toddler class. Catherine has been a regular floater teacher for the toddler classes, a substitute in all age groups and a team leader for the toddler classes. She has completed her Early Childhood Certificate and has two children who attended Reveille. Catherine’s favorite kids’ art project is finger paint.

Amy Ernst

Amy Ernst

Amy Ernst is the assistant teacher working alongside Catherine in the Lady Bug toddler class. Amy has been a regular substitute for all age groups at Reveille and has worked as a toddler floater assistant. She graduated from University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and her three children are Reveille graduates. Amy’s favorite children’s song is “The Wheels on the Bus.”

Stephanie Eastham

Stephanie Eastham

Stephanie Eastham is the lead teacher working alongside Laura in the Bumblebee toddler class on Mondays and Wednesdays.  She is also an assistant teacher working alongside Debi on Fridays in the All-Star preschool class.  She has worked as an assistant teacher, as a lead toddler teacher, and as a regular substitute across all age groups. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, and she completed her Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education from Lewis and Clark College. Stephanie has a school-age son who graduated from Reveille, and one of her favorite children’s books is Steam Train, Dream Train.

Laura Morris

Laura Morris

Laura Morris is the assistant teacher working alongside Rachel Perkins in the Monday / Wednesday Bumblebee toddler class and Sharon Anderegg in the Teddy Bear toddler class on Fridays. At Reveille, Laura has served as a room parent and frequent volunteer and has worked as a regular substitute across all age groups. She graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Laura is the mother of one Reveille graduate and one current Reveille student. One of Laura’s favorite children’s book is The Little Blue Truck.

Melissa Doughty

Melissa Doughty

Melissa Doughty is the lead teacher of the Fish toddler class that meets on Mondays and Wednesdays. She graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development and has worked in the Educational field as an Elementary School classroom Teacher, Education Coordinator, and Head Start Director. The mother of two school-aged children, Melissa believes that childhood should be full of exploration and rich language. A couple of her favorite children’s authors are Eric Carle and Lois Ehlert.

Morgan Thomas

Morgan Thomas

Morgan Thomas is the assistant teacher working alongside Melissa Doughty in the Fish class. Morgan graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in History and received her JD from the University of Tennessee. All three of Morgan’s children currently attend Reveille and she is a member of Parent Advisory Committee. Morgan loves all things music and is looking forward to incorporating plenty of piano, guitar and singing into the Fish class!

Hannah Watts

Hannah Watts

Hannah Watts is the lead teacher in the Owl toddler class that meets on Monday / Wednesday / Friday. She has also worked as an assistant teacher in our toddler program and as a regular substitute and floater teacher. Hannah is the team leader and curriculum specialist for the toddler team. During the year she leads age-level meetings that focus on early childhood topics. She graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, is CLASS certified for toddlers, and loves all kinds of preschool art projects. Hannah especially enjoys bringing oil pastels, dot-dot markers, paints, and crayons into her classroom.

Liz Pearce

Liz Pearce

Liz Pearce is the assistant teacher working alongside Hannah in the Owls toddler class.  Liz got her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from George Mason University and has done a bit of everything in her grown-up years. She was a stay-at-home mom for her four girls, who are all grown up now.  Then, she dove into the tech world, working as a Software Engineer for the last 15 years. Now, she is thrilled about finally doing what she’s always wanted – hanging out with little kids!  Liz’s go-to children’s song artists are Hap Palmer and Raffi.

Sharon Anderegg

Sharon Anderegg

Sharon Anderegg is the lead teacher for the Teddy Bear toddler class that meets on Tuesday / Thursday / Friday. A member of Reveille Church, Sharon is a former Reveille parent and a past member of the Reveille Weekday Programs Board. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Christopher Newport University and has experience substituting and assisting Judy Gupton in the Children’s Library. She has three children of her own, and her favorite children’s song is “Jesus Loves Me.”

Jenny Everett

Jenny Everett

Jenny Everett joined the Reveille family in 2022, and works as an assistant alongside Sharon in the Teddy Bear toddler class. Jenny has been a regular substitute in all age groups at Reveille since 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Richmond and volunteers as a Brownie Troop leader and as a Sunday School teacher at her own church. A mother of two, she enjoys showing her toddlers how to create leaf rubbings.

Mary Walker

Mary Walker

Mary Walker is the lead teacher in the Cupcake toddler class that meets on Tuesday / Thursday / Friday. She has been a regular substitute across all age groups at Reveille and has also worked as an assistant teacher. Mary holds a Bachelor in Arts from the University of Virginia, has completed her Early Childhood Certificate, and teaches piano in the after-school program. Mary has two children who attended Reveille, and her favorite school snack is fresh fruit.

Megan Ray

Megan Ray

Megan Ray joined the Reveille family in 2022, and is the assistant teacher working alongside Mary in the Cupcake toddler class. Megan has served as a substitute in all classrooms and has experience working as an ABA therapist for children on the autism spectrum. Megan graduated from Pitzer College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has earned her certificate in behavioral analysis training for parents and teachers. Megan has three children who are Reveille graduates, and her favorite part of teaching is seeing children smile when they learn something new.

Molly Parker

Molly Parker

Molly Parker leads the Ice Cream Cone preschool class, which meets three / four days each week, Monday–Thursday. Molly has served as an assistant teacher and as a regular substitute at Reveille. She graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Family Issues. She has two children of her own who attended Reveille, and her favorite children’s book is Bee-Wigged.

Mary Beth Baber

Mary Beth Baber

Mary Beth Baber is the assistant teacher working alongside Molly in the Ice Cream Cone preschool class. She has been at Reveille since 2007, and has served as a substitute as well as a team leader for the JK / older 4s team of teachers. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English, an MBA, and has completed her Early Childhood Certificate. Mary Beth has two children of her own who attended Reveille, and her favorite children’s song is “This Little Light of Mine.”

Amy Noland

Amy Noland

Amy Noland serves as the lead teacher in the four-day Dino preschool class, which meets Monday–Thursday. At Reveille, Amy has been in the role of toddler floater teacher, regular substitute, and assistant teacher. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and has completed her Early Childhood Certificate. Amy has four children who attended Reveille Weekday School, and her favorite school snacks are apples and cheez-its.

Danielle Roberts

Danielle Roberts

Danielle Roberts is the assistant teacher working alongside Amy in the Dino preschool class. A past Weekday Programs Board Chair, Danielle has volunteered her time for many Reveille events over the years and has assisted as a floater teacher during summer camp. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Tech and is an active member of Reveille United Methodist Church. Danielle has three children who have attended our program at Reveille, and one of her favorite children’s authors is Sandra Boynton.

Brittany Brooks

Brittany Brooks

Brittany Brooks joined Reveille as the music teacher in 2022.  Currently, she is the Lead Teacher in the Cottontails preschool class, and teaches music to all toddler and preschool classes each week. She has experience teaching all age levels in both public and private schools and as a private voice and piano teacher. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her Bachelor of Music with a concentration in vocal/choral music education, and she sings with the Richmond Symphony Chorus. Brittany has two children of her own, and one of her favorite songs to sing with children is “You Are My Sunshine.”

Anne Walker

Anne Walker

Anne Walker serves as the assistant teacher working alongside Brittany in the Cottontails preschool class. She has taught high school art for 24 years in Baltimore, Maryland. She received a BA in Studio Art from Notre Dame of Maryland University and an MFA from MICA. She has two grown children and three grandchildren. Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing a child’s excitement for creating and discovering new things.

Nancy Hinson

Nancy Hinson

Nancy Hinson is the lead teacher in the five-day Farm Friends preschool class. She has been teaching at Reveille for 30 years, primarily with three- and four-year-old children. She is one of the coordinators for the extended day program and the carpool team, and she teaches the early morning drop off program. Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and an Early Childhood Certificate, and she is currently working on completing her Child Development Associate (CDA). Nancy has one grown daughter who is a Reveille graduate, and she enjoys preparing “messy” art projects with glitter for her preschoolers.

Emily Fishburne

Emily Fishburne

Emily Fishburne serves as the assistant teacher working alongside Nancy in the Farm Friends preschool class. A former Reveille room parent and special event volunteer, she served as a regular substitute before joining the staff in 2015. Emily is a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a minor in nutrition. Emily has two children who are Reveille graduates, and her favorite part of teaching is watching children grow and become more confident.

Kristy Seredni

Kristy Seredni assists Nancy Hinson in the Farm Friends preschool class on Fridays. She has been a substitute and parent volunteer at the Weekday School, most recently serving as the PAC Chair. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and a minor in Marketing from Radford University. Kristy has two boys who are Reveille graduates, and one of her favorite children’s books is The Wonky Donkey.

 

Debi Douglas

Debi Douglas

Debi Douglas is the lead teacher in the All Star preschool class, which meets four / five days each week. She came to Reveille in 1989, and is one of the coordinators for the extended day program and the carpool team. Additionally, she serves as the summer camp director and team leader for the three and four day preschool classrooms. Debi has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and has completed her Early Childhood Certificate. Her favorite part of teaching is when a child makes a new discovery.

Anne Searles is the assistant teacher working alongside Debi on Monday–Thursday in the All Star preschool class. She has worked in the preschool world as an assistant and lead teacher since 2007, and has been in the role of a floater teacher for the toddler classes at Reveille since 2017. She graduated from Longwood College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and has completed her Early Childhood Certificate. She has two grown children, and one of her favorite school snacks is PopCorners.

Paulette Greentree

Paulette Greentree

Paulette Greentree is the lead teacher in the five-day Butterfly preschool class and has been teaching at Reveille since 1996. She has taught various preschool age groups and has served as the children’s librarian. Paulette holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has a grown son who graduated from Reveille and a grandson who is a current Reveille student. Paulette’s favorite part of teaching at Reveille is forming close relationships with her students and their families.

Marie North

Marie North

Marie North is the assistant teacher working alongside Paulette in the Butterfly preschool class. Since 2012, Marie has been an assistant teacher and floater at Reveille. She has experience working as an instructional assistant in public and private elementary schools since 2000, where she provided daily educational and emotional support to children with special needs. Marie attended Old Dominion University, and has three grown children of her own. One of Marie’s favorite children’s books is Miss Spider’s Tea Party.

Blakely Loftin

Blakely Loftin

Blakely Loftin is the lead teacher in the JK Frog class. She joined the Reveille teaching staff in 2022, after being a Reveille volunteer and room parent. Blakely received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Social Studies from Appalachian State University. Blakely has one Reveille graduate and one child still attending the program. One of her favorite children’s book authors is Kevin Henkes.

Dr. Kristina Lee

Dr. Kristina Lee

Kristina Lee is the lead teacher in the JK Turtle class. She has volunteered and substituted at Reveille for the past few years and has prior teaching experience in a variety of public and private settings. Kristina holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and in Anthropology and a Master of Teaching English Education, all from the University of Virginia. She recently completed a PhD in Curriculum, Culture and Change from Virginia Commonwealth University. Kristina is the mother of three children, two of whom are Reveille graduates and one of whom still attends the Weekday school. One of Kristina’s favorite children’s books is Blueberries for Sal.

Lori Hummel

Lori Hummel

Lori Hummel assists in the JK classes on Monday / Wednesday / Friday. She came to Reveille in 2014, and has been an assistant teacher and a lead teacher for JK classes. Lori has extensive experience working with elementary-age children in the Chesapeake Public School system and has completed her Early Childhood Certificate. Lori has one adult daughter and a grandson who will attend the Weekday School. One of her favorite kids’ art projects is the self-portrait, an important part of the annual JK Art Show.

Jenny Simpson

Jenny Simpson

Jenny is the assistant in the JK class that meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  She is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Doula, and childbirth educator. She has taught classes privately and within the HCA and Bon Secours hospital systems. Jenny has extensive experience working with children and families and most recently was the After School Director at Cape Charles Christian School. Jenny’s greatest joys are spending time with her family, playing her ukulele and trying to create artsy stuff!

Judy Gupton

Judy Gupton

Judy Gupton is the children’s librarian and works with all preschool classes each week. She came to Reveille in 1995, and worked in the toddler program for many years. As the school’s librarian, Judy coordinates an annual book drive to keep the book selection full of the newest in quality children’s literature. She belongs to the Virginia Association of School Librarians and attends their annual conference. Additionally, Judy assists in the office two days a week and coordinates all resources and equipment for the school. She holds an accounting degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and has one grown daughter who attended Reveille. One of her favorite parts of serving as librarian is talking to the children.

Dr. Jennifer Cave

Dr. Jennifer Cave

Dr. Jennifer Cave became Director of the Weekday School in 2022, bringing with her over 25 years of experience working in the field of Early Childhood Education. She has taught adults and children in her roles as an Adjunct Professor, an Instructional Support Specialist for the Virginia Preschool Initiative, a Preschool Teacher (Special Education and Head Start), and an Infant Developmental Specialist. Jennifer has provided training and professional development workshops and presented on a variety of topics at conferences throughout Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Richmond, a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Doctorate of Education degree with a concentration in Curriculum and Systemic Change from Nova Southeastern University. One of her favorite children’s books is My Magic Breath: Finding Calm Through Mindful Breathing, and one of her favorite parts of her job is building lasting relationships with children and their families.

Beverley Tilley

Beverley Tilley

Beverley Tilley is the program Administrative Assistant at Reveille and has worked at the Weekday School since 1995. She handles the financial aspects of the program, parent/volunteer involvement and substitute schedules, as well as other administrative matters. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Meredith College and an MBA from Wake Forest University. Beverley has two grown children who attended Reveille, and one of her favorite parts of her job is hearing the children and teachers talking and singing in nearby classrooms.
