After School Extended Day Activities

Lunch Bunch

Preschool (ages 4-5)

Lunch Bunch will be offered to children in the preschool (typically ages 3-5) who are fully toilet trained from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm, Mondays-Fridays. Your child can still sign up for enrichments like Soccer Shots, Itty Bitty Yogis, and Piano, etc. Students will join the Lunch Bunch group after their activity, eat lunch and participate in the remainder of the afternoon’s activities that encourage positive social interactions and learning age appropriate social skills until 2pm. Parents will pick up their children no later than 2 pm from the playground.

LEAP extended day will be offered to students ages 4-5 from 12:00- 2:00pm, Mondays-Fridays. This program will provide enrichment lessons in the areas of gross motor, fine motor, cooking, literacy, math, and science. Your student can still sign up for enrichments like Soccer Shots, Itty Bitty Yogis, and Piano, etc. Students will rejoin the LEAP group after their activity, eat lunch and participate in the remainder of the afternoon’s lessons and activities until 2:00 pm. Some highlights from this program include: bringing books to life with activities, engaging in literacy games that incorporate movement to stimulate the brain, exploring science through sensory activities including experimentation and cooking, constructing using fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, creatively using materials to cut and sew, building fine motor skills using clay and play-dough, discovering through process art, and supporting positive peer interactions through collaborative play.

 

Health Consultant

RWS is looking for someone with a medical/ nursing background to serve as our Health Consultant for the 2024-2025 school year. The role includes the following responsibilities:

·      Provide basic health and safety training to staff based on our licensure requirements

·      Create and manage student medical boxes in the office

·      Oversee the “inventory” of Epi-Pens, Benadryl, and other medications

·      Regularly check the medical cabinet, first aid kits, and playground first aid bags to be sure supplies are restocked

·      Visit Reveille at least once a week to briefly check in with teachers
